There are always two sides of everything. Positive one and negative one. Whichever you choose is actually never about the subject itself. It’s about you. Your experience, your trauma, what you value in life, how you value others, etc.
Whenever you find something offends you, whether it’s a post, words, comments, others’ behaviors, they probably never have intention to offend you. Or they probably do, but it doesn’t matter. Because how you react says everything about you.
So, whenever you think of negative thoughts or having negative feelings about something or someone, it’s time to ask yourself, “What’s wrong with me? Why do I feel this way?” When you dig inside yourself and find the answer, that is the time when you understand yourself better and know how to make yourself feel better. That is when you find peace inside.
PS: I write this after thinking a while about what Jimin said in one of Bon Voyage episode. The cameraman asked Jimin why he left other members behind and went to the train alone. And Jimin said, “Wouldn’t it be nice if I find them good seats first?”. It hit me right in the feels. You can choose to think like the cameraman or thinking like Jimin. Jimin definitely did something nice there, but other might think otherwise.
Also, after read a lot of hate comments from haters in some sites, I don’t feel offended anymore. Instead, I want to ask them, “What’s wrong with you guys? What happened in your life that makes you hate this world so much?”
Always look at the bright side, guys. Always.
